In-Class Exercises
Exercise 1: In this exercise, you will each have 10 minutes to read an excerpt from a study in a policy area of potential research interest. You will then be asked to identify 1) the policy (either directly named or implied) evaluated in the study, 2) the main research question, and 3) the data used to answer the research question.
Exercise 2 In this exercise, we cover the basics of using Stata, a basic workflow in Stata, and the basics of working with data in Stata.

Exercise 3 In this exercise, we cover the basics of making graphs and tables in Stata to describe variables.
Exercise 4 In this exercise, we walk through summary statistics, how to make a table in Stata, and how to run a simple regression in Stata. For this exercise, we will use the data from exercise 3.
